WARM AND A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PUBLIC
BWA Architects designed the Tishomingo Information Center as a 10,786 square foot multi-use facility housing the Chickasaw Nation Information and Tishomingo Welcome Center, the Tishomingo Chamber of Commerce, and the Murray County Historical Society.
The building features a central open public area that supports retail displays of local and cultural items, a coffee bar, lounge seating, and a centrally located point-of-sale counter that provides clear sightlines, efficient service, and passive security. An exterior community and lounge area anchors the main entrance and supports public gathering.
Administrative spaces were designed with access to natural light and efficient circulation to support daily operations. Exterior materials were carefully selected to complement the adjacent historic landmark, preserving its architectural presence while integrating the new facility into its context.
