Mark Keahey brings more than 37 years of experience in education to his role as Education & District Advisor at BWA. His career has included seven years as an Agricultural Science Teacher, three years as an Assistant Principal, two years as a Principal, and 16 years as a Superintendent. He also spent nine years with Region 10 Education Service Center, giving him a broad perspective on the needs and challenges facing school districts.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Tarleton State University and a Master of Education from East Texas A&M University. His experience in both district leadership and educational service provides a well-rounded understanding of the decisions and challenges administrators face as they plan for their schools and communities.

Throughout his career, Mark has worked closely with educators, administrators, and district leaders, developing a practical understanding of the many factors that go into leading a school district. His experience as a superintendent and his time at Region 10 ESC allow him to approach each conversation with an understanding of both district-level priorities and the broader needs of public education.

Outside the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, working on projects around the yard and shop, and trail riding side-by-sides in the mountains. He also enjoys relaxing at the beach and staying involved in his church community.

Mark's extensive experience across the education profession gives him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing school districts. He brings that experience to BWA to help strengthen relationships with districts and better understand the needs of the communities we serve.
